Workers are deepening a boat basin at Jesup on the Altamaha River as part of an upgrade in Gov. Sonny Perdue's Go Fish Georgia initiative. The basin at Jaycee Landing is being deepened so a huge ramp can be built. The area is scheduled to host a fishing tournament in May.
